I rewrote my CV from scratch after a careers adviser told me it read like a job description

The problem with my original CV:n

• Every bullet point started with “Responsible for…” or “Assisted with…”
• I was describing duties, not achievements
• There were no numbers, no outcomes, no evidence of impact

nnWhat I changed:n

• Every bullet now starts with a strong verb: Led, Delivered, Reduced, Built, Grew
• Every point has a result: “Reduced processing time by 40%” not “Helped improve processes”
• Used the UKBuddy CV Builder to check achievement focus

nnResult: Interview rate went from zero to three in four weeks.
