The STAR structure:n

  1. Situation: Briefly set the context (1-2 sentences)
  2. Task: Describe your specific responsibility (what were YOU accountable for?)
  3. Action: Explain what you personally did — this is the most important part, be detailed and specific
  4. Result: Quantify the outcome — numbers, percentages, timeline

nnPrepare 8 examples covering:n

  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Leadership or initiative
  • Problem-solving under pressure
  • A time you failed or made a mistake
  • Communication across difference
  • Managing competing priorities
