Do this in your first term, not your final one:n

• Book appointments early in the year — they fill up significantly by spring
• Come with a specific question, not a general “help me find a job” request
• Ask explicitly: “Which employers at your careers fair sponsor Skilled Worker visas?”
• Attend at least one careers fair and talk to recruiters in person
• Ask about alumni mentoring programmes — most are free and underused
