I am curious whether others have found the UK academic style very different from their home country.nnFor me, the biggest adjustments were:n

  • The expectation to critically evaluate sources rather than just summarise them
  • UK markers want an argument, not a description
  • Referencing style (Harvard, APA, OSCOLA) is taken very seriously
